    Would my Alpine 700 watt Class D be too much to push 2 sets of 6x9's?

    Im gettin ready to send this amp off to get fixed and im thinkin bout using it to push two sets of 6x9's. Would it be too much?



    Ride: 2001 Ford Ranger
    Color: Red
    Head Unit: Kenwood 52x4
    Speaker Amp: JL Audio e4300
    Front Speakers: Kicker 4x6
    Rear Speakers: Stock
    Sub Amp: Bostwick 1100 (1100 RMS @ 1ohm)
    Subs : (2) Kicker CVR 15's
    Enclosure: 4.3 Cubes per chamber tuned o 32hz
    AudioControl - 145.9 dB
    TermLab Mic - 145.6, 146.0, 142.5(mic was messed up)

    Don't use a 700w sub amp on a pair of 6x9's that are probably full range speakers. If the amp is a true 700wrm then you would be way overpowerring them because I can't think of any 6x9's that will handle 350rmw each (not saying that there aren't any out there, I just can't recall any is all) and if you don't have 6x9 woofers only then you are really just wasting the speakers because they won't produce all that great of bass that it would be worth putting an amp this powerful on......just my opinion though......

    Well if you like heavily distorted music I would say go for it... but i would barely turn the gain up too much power would cause the speakers to dismantle them selves.. I would think... ;P

    I was wondering cuz ill go to get another JL Audio e1200 amp that is class AB. and can run LP, and HP. I might get another one of them.

    He's trying to power 2 sets of 6x9's, not 2 6x9's from what his description says. Meaning each individual set would be gettin 350 watts, meaning each speaker would be gettin 175 watts a piece. Still, that seems to be on the high side, but I'm not too knowledgable in this area.

    Yes high ... real high.. refer to my post about self dismantilization... OMG I MADE A NEW WORD?! Plus the sound would be ******.. just dont do it dude.. only A/b amps go with anything less then a 8 inch speaker...
