    jbl or hifonics...

Looking into getting a 600-700 watt amp at 2 ohms mono.

Some adds for the Hifonics BX1000D rate it at 500@2 0hms and some rate it at 700@2 ohms. Which is correct?

If it is the 700 watts like I am hoping, which would you take, the new JBL gto601.1 or the BX1000D? They are about the same price and give about the same power. Decisions Decisions...

I need something now, subs are here but nothing to power them with. They are 2 10" 350rms 4 ohm svc subs.

    Shawn...

Jbl is high end amplifiers in my oppinion. Hifonics is mid range and very good for the price. I would take JBL if you got the dough.

JBL isn't high end in my opinion, but rather decent for the price...Do you have any experience with the gto line?

Not myself but have heard them on SPL setups. They did a hell of a job! It's also a fact that JBL is one of the high end amplifiers around.

put both the hifonics and jbl names in a hat and draw and then buy whatever amp you picked.

    Re: jbl or hifonics...

Easy decision for me....expansion plays a huge role. The hifonics can be wired down to 1 ohm to give 1000 watts, where as the jbl will still give 600-700....so if you want to expand ever I would go with the hifonics, and MazdaSpeed99, jbl is not a high end amp company, they put out great power for the money yes, but not high end by any means.

Both brands are great for the price and do what they say, for expansion sake though I would go hifonics

Fuc, how come when I copy and paste **** it never gives me the cool blue thing in my sig. Sonofa*****withhotredtabascosauceonmynutz!!!!!

they're both excellent amps in that price range...

draw straws, or decide based on what looks better...

    Re: jbl or hifonics...

Hifonics for sure...JBLs crossovers bite dink and Hifonics leave room for expansion, as well as has a SSF if you really need one.
