There is quite a large list of amps I would trust running at .5 ohms. If you have the electrical to back it that is.

I sold Stetsom 4K2D a month or so ago for around 500. Strapping to 2 ohm load with two 1 ohm stable amps would be fine.

Why do companies NEVER list if their amp works at .5 ohm?? Spec sheet for that amp says "Stable down to 1 ohm"

I'll check it out in the classifieds, thanks for the info

Have you looked at Lanzar opti amps?

    Lanzar OPTI4601D $540

4600 at .5 ohm (not sure how accurate that is though)

I had not seen that one before. Specs and features look awesome!! Says good down to 15hz. Even if it did 4k at 0.5 I'd be happy!!!

the lanzar Opti line is a good line of amps. The 4601d will be just fine for what you are looking for. just make sure you have the electrical to back it up

    wait hold up......

.....if you connect one amps "output" RCA to another amps "input" RCA, is that strapping?

    All day I'm clippin'
    voltage be dippin'
    I don't give a damn,
    cause my trunk always hittin'!

creating a proper sound wave. Step one, turn it up until clipping. Step two, done.

A BC3500 would do more than 4K at half an ohm. If you've got the electrical for it, they're great amps for the price.

And if you buy new, you can get a .5 ohm warranty.

No amps that are strappable often have a seperate set of RCA's for strapping.

You do realize when you strap an amp it effectively halves the load the amp see's right? So an amp that puts out 1k at 2ohms and 2k at 1ohm, when strapped would only be stable at 2ohms, but would put out 4k at that impedence as a pair, so obviously that's the lowest it will go, it's already putting out as much as 2 amps should.

ampere is a better bet. your brutus arent going to put out what you want. i have the brx 2400 and its not the worst but i could have gotten way better for just a lil more money
