Need help with an Amp question.

I just recently bought 2 image dynamic IDQ 12inch subs that are dvc and 2 ohms and rms 350watts with peak 700. I do not know what size of amp I need. The ohms crap confuses me. Could anyone give me any suggestions with the power supply I am looking for in an amp or you could just suggest an amp to me. I greatly appriciate it. Thanks!

Ok DVC 2ohm voice coils. U can wire the sub up so that it presents a 4 ohm load or 1 ohm load to the amplifier, or a 2ohm load if you use a stereo amp with 1 voice coil on each channel. The specs look pretty comparable to my L7's I run a pair of PC 2600's. They are rated 150x2 into 4 ohm or 300x2 into 2 ohm stereo or 600X1 into 4 ohms bridged. That is how I run mine, 4ohm load on my amps and run it in bridged mode. That would work as well for you, however, I will say it before other people do. The PPI's are expensive. Figure around 275-300 used for a nice clean one. They will do the job but I dont know what your budget is. If you wanting something a lot less cheaper, maybe a JBL 600.1 would give ya about 150 watts per voice coil or the 1200.1 for 300 watts per voice coil. Both of those would be cheaper than the PPI's plus you will only have 1 amp to install instead of 2.. Or a JL 500.1
