Yea its stable at one ohm but u wont get anymore power from it than running it at 2 ohms. The only problem i could think of it that the jbl1200.1 has no subsonic filter which is bad for ported boxes.(dont know why or how ive always ran sealed) But i have a 600.1 and it works fine at 2 ohms...

    yes it does eh. http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/JBLBP12001

The PowerValve P-1200.1 features a high-efficiency Switching power supply that draws far less current from your vehicle's electrical system. PowerValve amplifiers are also 2-ohm optimized, and can run a 1-ohm load with ease.

i'm not downing the amp but if you have the money look around for something else. i sold mine and got a kx1200.1 and was so much more impressed with it, sure it was a few $$$ more but still. i just switched over to a PG t1200.1 and thats just a little more $ then the jbl 1200.1 but way nicer and it has way more options.
