    Re: Massive audio amps?

    I have experience with RS25.4, RS100, PA25.4 and PA50

I think the 25.4's are alright but not much power, the sound quality is good, but for an A/B Class it's not spectacular.

I'm currently using the PA50 for my Boston NX57 coax speakers, I was using the PA25.4 bridged and the amp wasn't giving enough power to make these speakers come alive. The PA50 makes the speakers very loud without any distortion. I really enjoy listening to them. I still think they can handle more.

The RS100 is a good clean A/B class sub amp which put out 797.6w RMS and drew 79.8 amps of DC current which is amazingly efficient for an A/B class amp at 71.39%. The amp wasn't near full gain and the impedence rose to over 5.5ohms.

I like the looks of Massive Audio equipment, classy.

If you can get this brand at a cheap price then it can be worth it, but I wouldn't pay retail. Unfortunatly some retailers boast overrated output figures.

The d200 is pretty ballsy. A local guy with an 18" Cerwin Vega stroker caame into a local pawnshop where they had one and that amp smacked it around like a little *****. He bought it, needless to say.

He said it could handle more current than that, too, but for less time. I told him my local dealer claimed it could produce over 5,000 RMS continuously, and the tech just laughed his *** off. He said not to believe him, but it can produce over 2,000 watts on a regular basis with music.

I assume your talking about Ken. He gave me the D200 speech also, then I asked what the amp draw was, He said about 150 amps and then we went over the the math and he claimed the amp was over 125% efficient... pretty good for a D class... hahahaha yea right

He also claimed my RS100 will do over 1500rms, I wish.
Thank god I got mine cheap off ebay and didn't pay their crazy mark-up
