amp to power two Rockford Fosgate R1S410 subs

    hey all,
I am new to the car audio world. i want to start replacing the audio components in my truck and have a question. what amp would you recommend to power a pair of Rockford Fosgate R1S410 subs?

keep in mind that i am on a lower ranking government salary, so need to keep things kind of on a tight budget.

    thanks for any input.

Re: amp to power two Rockford Fosgate R1S410 subs

i dont really need something to be heard across town, just to put a little more bump in my truck. i got a free enclosure for two 10" subs that goes under my back seat, so i figured i might as well use it.

I would like new, but used isn't totally out of the question. for the amp and two subs, i would like to keep it between $200 and $250.

You're going to need a 2 ohm amp that does around 300 watts. I think Alpine has one.

I have a special this month on an amp that does double the RMS of those 2 subs for well under $200. I can bundle an amp kit, too.
