Need a high damping facrot Amp! Plz help

Hey. I need a high damping factor amp to handle heavy metal, double base drums and all these crazy fast beats. I have a 98' bmw 740il, I'm gonna get 8 5.25" jbl speakers, two 10" tu es and a alternator. I need an advise, never built a system b4, and I wanna make sure the tubes and the amp can keep up with the beats thanks in advance!

Agreed. Anything of any quality is going to be up to par, 100-200 is fine. Look at slew rate as well, you want a fast rise time.

No. In the end, the answer is, always has been, and can only be... heat kills speakers. BUT, clipping increases heat generation, sometimes by a drastic amount. So to start a thread simply to state that clipping does not hurt speakers is, again, a half-truth at best.

You're looking to buy bass tubes? If you want quick sounding subwoofers you should use a sealed box.

I prefer authorized online dealers, keeps returns and warranty issues smooth. Go to the Harman Kardon website and you can locate local or online stores, also referbs and closeouts.

This is good advice. Their products are fairly priced perform well enough for what they are, and good deals can be had in their eBay store on refurbs and closeouts and such.

Damping factor is misused and over-rated. There is nothing in an amp that will slow down the electricity so that it can't play a kick drum. Buy something that will make the power you want, fit in the space you have, and has a reputation for reliability.
