Icon6 good amp for my two 6x9s 110W rms JBL P963 @2ohm speakers

which option is better for my two speakers:
    -a two channel amp powering 190W RMS x2 @ 2 ohms
    or
    -a four channel amp powering 250W RMS x2 @ 2 ohms (bridged)

i want to know which is better in terms of power, quality, and amp/speakers damage..

two channel model is: pioneer GM-5500T
four channel model is: pioneer GM-D8604

    thanks!!!
(I have an alpine CDE-HD138BT HU if this helps..)

Either one, but I really like my 8604. You'll have to keep the gains low on it though.

Either will work just fine. I prefer to have the overhead, so I would use the 4channel.

Why is that? Does that mean i will not be able to attain good loudness/power?

Why is what? That's a VERY vague question.

Because you have 250 watts rms going to a speaker that's rated at 110 watts rms......... do the math?

oh ok... well as you can see Im totally new a this...Ive read that having more watts going to the speaker than what the speaker is rated is better...

in your opinion how many watts in the amp will be the best for my speakers (I know there are some other factors to consider, thought..)
The 4 channel amp gives 150 watts if its not bridged...

    Thanks!

The first part is true, mainly so that you can send clean power to the speakers without clipping the amp, pending your source music being clean as well.

I think that either amp will do perfectly fine, however I would say that powering up just a set of 6x9's with an amp may not net you the sound you want. Are the 6x9's in the front or rear of the car?

Re: good amp for my two 6x9s 110W rms JBL P963 @2ohm speakers

They are in the rear powered by a ****** amp.
I have also two 6 1/2 connected to the HU.
And a 12" sub powered by another ****** amp. I bought these two used amps momentarily until I save more money. They are old and have lots of issues.

I was thinking on buying the 4 channel amp, so I can give the 6x9s 150W RMS and also connect the front speakers or the sub to it, (but I wanted to be sure that the 150W RMS powering the 6x9s are enough, or if it would be preferable to give them 190W RMS, or the bridged 250W RMS.)

I would suggest just getting the GM-D8604, and a GM-D9601. Use the 8604 on the front and rears and then the 9601 on the sub, all problems solved.
