    Icon33 Please help!... Noob Alert!

I have no clue how to pick out an amp... I have 2 6x9's and 2 6.5"

They are both "true 4 ohms" with 2 ohm impedance. The peak power handling is:
    180w for the 6.5"
    300w for the 6x9

My question is, what size amp should I get and with how many channels?

    Thanks for the help!

per channel x 4 so 400 watts rms all channels driven at 4 ohms

at 2 ohms the amp will give more power to the speakers ,but can get warm or even hot ,which is bad for some amps

You can also have a higher distortion factor at 2 Ohms vs 4 Ohms. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of the SQ competitors drive their speakers at the 4 Ohm load because of that reason. I could be wrong on that one though.

So I'm looking around and I've found a couple amps that are 100w x 4 channels @4 ohms. What are other specs I need to be looking for??
