    Phoenix Gold XS2500 for Eclipse?

I have bought an Eclipse 88120 SVC, and I am looking into getting an amp. I was looking into a few and i need to spend less than $300 on the amp. I found a Phoenix Gold XS2500 for about $190 that had been used for a month. Does this amp have enough power to push the eclipse (500rms 1000max) or is there another amp below 300 that would be better? Also I have heard that this sub takes a lot of power and the XS2500 isnt D class, am I going to need a D class sub?

that amp gives 500x1 bridged, so u should be fine power wise.
this amp isn't a D class amp, all that means is that it will draw more current from your electrical system than a D or T class amp.
D class doesn't apply to speakers, all they care about is power.
PG amps are excellent, and have lots of great features. For $190 it sounds like a great deal

I was hesitant to get a class D amp because of its significant decrease in quality. Even though i was gonna use if for subs either way. I grow up in an audiophile house (my dad has a pair of Sonus Faber Amati Homage) so I am kinda set on the good sound quality thing.
