The full range Phantom amps aren't underrated. The mono amp is underrated by roughly 20%.

As far as using it for 2way front active setup. I think it's decent. However, the 12db/oct slope leaves much to be desired. One thing that bothered me though is that the amp is more prone to noise. When I switched out amps, this one gave me engine whine more than the previous amp. Nothing that having a better ground won't fix though. I'd recommend the amp any day of the week though, good shit
When I was running a P900.4 I had no noise beyond a very faint hiss heard in a quiet place with the engine off. These amps aren't any more prone to noise than any other good amplifier. I wouldn't be able to name names but I'm certain there are people still using their P900.4 amps well beyond the typical timeframe when people get bored and decide to try something different.
Shameless self-promotion: I have all 3 Phantom amps in stock and I ship no more than 24 hours after receiving payment, save for the weekends. I'm down to one P900.4 but I have 4 P600.2s and 3 P1000.1s with another 4 P900.4s on the way to my store.

Grr was hoping not to see someone say that. I'm trying to find the cleanest possible setup. I might still go with the Black Ice monoblock since it has more than enough power for the 4 Dayton 8s I was considering. And it's a pretty smexy looking amp. Just wish they had stuck with the metal casing instead of what they ended up with.
Now they just need to make the INGENIX HUs a reality...

Those are said to be heading to the US before the Chinese New Year, meaning the **** things are finally real and shipping this year.

I think the heavens opened wide and smiled on us. Apparently they have a DSP up for grabs, too. Won't be as fancy as Audison/Arc/JBL, though.

The DSP is set to go head-to-head with the Rockford 360.3, priced at $499. They plan to have an Android app plus a dash-mount controller, yet I have not heard about any auto-tune function. That's probably for the better at this price level since I think it would be half-assed.

Just going by what I read really, I remember someone benched it at 150, just slightly over rated. As far as noise goes, that's my experience, not saying that's how the amps are. They are good amps, but i'm just stating my experience, it varies with ppl.
Re: Thoughts on precision power ppi p900.4
Any other good active capable amps that do above 120x4 at 4 ohms....? Budget of about $250 or less

Had noise when I swapped from my alpine but went away after moving ground.
