gt series are 1 ohm stable both are sq beasts though lol i love my gt-42 made in italy amazing sound

Yeah that's not a bad price, although it is refurbished. I use to have the 400 watt mono from this line up and it was nice! But this 5 channel is too big for my application.

Yes these are nice. Make sure, though, that you have adequate venting and aren't using a HU with RCAs that run hotter than 5V. The nx5 has some serious juice, but because that a/b is in such a small profile, can overheat fairly easily.

as long as you have good ventilation you 'll be fine with the ab amp they need to breathe thru the bottom plate vents ,or you can even remove the bottom plate for more ventilation .

Sounds like it wouldnt take but 5,or 6 washers under each mounting tab

Yeah. There's a huge thread on DIYMA about it. Most people weren't aware of the 5V in spec and their eclipse units were forcing the amp into protect. The others were having issues with mounting them upside down or in poorly ventilated areas. Since the American Bass is similarly (although a bit higher) rated and close to the same price, I'd say it's a smarter choice than the MA.
