    kicker sx1250 gain setting

Setting gains and it goes by db in half db increments. 0-12 db is range, guess it's getting set by ear...

    Re: kicker sx1250 gain setting

Turn bass on stereo to 0 then if there is a bass setting on amp, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 way. Turn volume on radio up to highest listening setting, and slowly, carefully adjust gain.

Be sure gain is at 0 also before cranking volume. When you hear distortion turn gain back a slight turn. You need to really make sure you can not hear any distortion! Or else... POP!

Best way to set gain, o-scope. If avail by local shop do so.

    Re: kicker sx1250 gain setting

Just to clarify i know it can be done all by ear, i used to do it that way. For the past several years i used the dmm method and adjust slightly if need be by ear. Howevr this amps gain settings go by db not voltage. No access to a scope otherwise there would have been no need for tne thread
