remove heatsink cover from kicker sx1250

    Anyone have tips?
Got the 8 or so screws off the end pieces and removed them. Also have the little covers over the display and menu popped off. Does the giant kicker emblem in the middle need to come off too? I can see wires running to it...

Pics of the amp? Maybe a side profile? If its anything like my kx1200 was you need to push in on the edge of the cover towards the amp itself and unsnap it from the bottom of the amp. Kind of a pain in the butt. The kicker logo can be removed after you get the cover off.

I've owned a kx as well. Think it's similar but not same. Never really paid any attention either though

Judging by this pic it looks like it comes off just like my kx series did. Notice how the edge of the top cover has that little lip that tucks under the edge of the bottom/heatsink of the amp. You need to push in on one side of the amp enough to "unsnap" the lip on the edge of the top from the channel in the bottom of the amp that it is resting in.

Yup, I'm thinking the same thing. It looks like you have to slide the cover horizontally to get it off.
