    Need a cheap amp. 200 watts @ 4ohm

I am contemplating buying this subwoofer and box .

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...gn=criteo#tabs

I really need to buy a cheap amp that will work for 200 watts at 4ohm. I would like the amp to be under 100 bucks. Do you guys know if that is possible. Thanks for your time.

Personally, I'd recommend saving up some more money and doing it right. You will probably get tired of only 200 watts pretty quickly. But that's just my opinion.

This. 200w would be fine for a home theatre setup but for car audio you'll want more...

Take a look at PPI Black Ice or PPI Sedona mono block amplifiers (e.g. PPI BK650.1D).

If you're not powering your front speakers, it might be a better idea to buy a 4-channel amplifier, and use two channels to power a subwoofer and other two for front speakers. Something like MB Quart ONX4.80 should work out pretty well. The price online is often around $100.

I got 2 15"s getting no more than 250-300wrms on a kenwood 8105d and it ain't hittin' hard enough.

I can't imagine a single 10" wth only 200wrms maximum. Might as well just close your ears and hum the bass lines to your favorite songs, and it will be louder.

My single 10 is getting a hair over 100 and hits plenty well for my tastes, but I was looking for blend. It comes down to install and enclosure IMO. If you're talking sealed, it's definitely not going to be enough. But aperiodic or ported should be able to work well on that power.

It depends on the vehicle, sub, and enclosure. You'd be surprised at what happens with 2-300 hundred watts when done correctly.
