Hifonics Zeus vs Brutus series amplifiers?

just looking on some opinions on these line of amplifiers. On a budget somewhat, these seem like decent budget amplifiers. Opinions? also looking at the Hifonics BRZ1700.1D versus the Hifonics GLX1400.1D....

vminnovations always has coupons they sell both hifonics and AP, if you go with the brz brutus line get at least the 2100 above the 1700, the 2100 can be strapped the 1700 you cannot strap

    Hifonics brz>Audiopipe apsm. No contest.

This is a good price and some decent power, if you're buying new. onx1.2000d

The apsm's clip waaay before rated at 1 ohm. 2/4 ohm isn't bad, though. The hifonics will do much closer to rated before clipping.

Ya i will be running my 2 RF T1D412's on it down to 1ohm, so that onx1.2000d aint looking too bad.

My APSM sounds better than my brz2100d and is almost as loud, plus has better low end response.

If you're wanting the low lows, don't get a BRZ

thats starting to reach into needing beefier electrical, imo. At 2k you already need a good batt up front and in back.

My amp before the quart was an apsm 1500. that thing clipped so friggin hard and fast it was ridiculous. I can SMELL the difference in efficiency, lol.

This... is actually the right answer anyways. I'm selling my quart to get something that actually does rated+, and not just close.

but maxxsonics brz/onyx still beats the hell outta apsm's

My amp doesn't get warm nor do my subs even after hard beating at 1 ohm

Might get 3 more to run my x's...if i can get 1k watts out of each amp i'll be fine.

People are fast to recommend these budget, super inefficient, close to rated amps. They may of had good experience cause they went from power acoustic to Hifonics or audiopipe. If most people know they can get s MUCH better amp for only $100-$150 more they will wait.

Yep I would go with the BRZ series which suppose to be a higher line than the Zeus series. I clamped my BRZ2400.1d at 2380WRMS @ 14V. This was CLEAN power, measured with a Scope and Fluke DMM. Those APSM amps are very compact but I have seen pictures of them burning the boards, having issues etc. way more than the BRZ's - never seen a BRZ burn its board though lol.

Here is something interesting as well :
