If the Zx is stable at 1ohm, that's your only other option besides 4..

This is FALSE INFORMATION!!!!! Yes you can..You have the option to run One coil @1/2 the rms factor on ANY DVC subwoofer..Im running 2DVC 4ohm Kicker CVR on one coil ea,at 4ohms ea for a total 2ohm load on one amp, and have done several subs in the past with no issues ever..You are only going to get 1/2 of the RMS rating of the sub woofers recommendation. Please DO NOT GIVE OUT FALSE INFORMATION Sir.
You can run that Kicker on one set of coils of that sub@1/2 the RMS factor without any issues as long as you set your gains correctly/no clipping issues, and you will be just fine..Later on, you can get another dvc2 ohm sub, the same, and you will be able to use this amp on all 4 coils @the 2ohm load for both subs at the total RMS rating for both subs
well thats silly, sorry i was told not to run one coil after i blew my fubar from running one coil at 4ohms
You can take a DMM, and check both coils, to see if either is still good,to run as a single voice coil sub,at that ohm load..just because one coil is gone , doesnt mean the other isnt, and can be ran at 1/2 the rms rating of the DVC sub..I have ran several subs that way, and still do from time to time as back up subs.No issues![]()
