Have you ever had a good or a bad experience with an amp and want to share about it?
tell your story here.
i was thinking about this, and thought people should post their opinions on amps in here!
we all research amps, but we want personal hand held review.
so ill lay down mine, and hope you all add!


Zapco ref 360.2
good:
small size, nice crossover, crisp sound,
would recommend. not heavily underated.
bad:
terminals are the lame Phillips head

hifonics zeus zxi60.4 + 1k
good:
it felt really solid, looked nice, put out the power.
does rated plus 5%-10%
bad:
lame plastic mounting terminals
it gets real hot

Memphis big belle
good: attractive.
built solid. sounded pretty well. does rated.
bad:
end caps are hard to find.
angled terminals arent the best.
to use all 5 channels you either have to use 1 rca for the sub amp,
or it will process the 4 channel rca signal and use that as the sub signal

MTX Thunder elite ta7804
good:
huge power house.. i wish i still had this amp, traded it for the zeus back when i was a noob.
stable down to 1ohm a channel. the bass changes the colors.
nice crossover.
felt solid,
bad:
big amp, terminals are dificult to use.

alpine mrp-f300
good:
small design, its sleek. nice styling.
bad:
endcaps are cheap.
barely does rated.
wouldnt reccomend.

audioque 1200d:
good: simple design, small size big power.
stable down to .5 ohm. minor voltage hog.
bad:
not much to say. could be a little more efficient.

us acoustics usx 600f
good:
low THD, built in fan. solid amp, ZED designed. sound is very clear
stable down to 1ohm per channel. easily a 800-1k amp.
bad:
not very efficient, class a/b, lack of a nice crossover.

rockford fosgate power elite t500-2
good: big power. this was one of RF's most under rated lines of amps. usually 35-55%..theyve stated it themselves. lots of power. solid amp.
bad:
voltage hog, common ground failing. covers frequently lost. doesnt sound that good on speakers, more for subs. overly punchy, and not very soft sounding.

DD m3a
good: puts out massive power. looks hot. nice layout,
not to big, built solid. stable down to <.5 ohm if you now what youre doing.
bad:
nothing to say at this time.

mb quart ONYX 1500.1
good: puts out nearly rated. attractive, and simple. i liked the amp,
used it in a friends install.
cons: voltage hog. gets hot. plastic on it feels cheap. gets the job done though.

more amps will be added as i think of amps ive used. otherwise its your turn to write your opinions!

good
lots of raw power does rated and alot more rated at 12 volts
small size ,light weight micro processor
bad
xover is cheap,should use a external x over or eq in front of the amp
1 power and ground input on the 8k and 2 on the 12k

warhorse
good
raw clean power very efficient
bad
too big, dont like the way you have to wire the subs,power hog not as nice as you would think

saz 4500
good nice looking amp ,very powerful,louder than my warhorse on the same set up,clean power
bad
nothing
power bass xta 5000
good nice looking amps , .5 stable,lots of power ,pretty efficient ,strappable to .7 ,warranty is great 1year free replacement if bought from powerbass or authorized dealer

kind of big , built in china ,heavy

yr 2000 hifonics amp idk which one 200x2 bad Ass amp nothing bad to say at all but this does not help anyone lol

Good:
Doesnt get hot running .5 ohms and has a ton of power.
Bad:
Only thing i could say is the bass knob that it came with was broke when I got it.

Rockford t1000cp the good lots of power very underrated easy on my electrical looks great

The bad just to expensive compared to amps with similar specs

Rockford t2000 the good lotttts of power sounds great
the bad not the best looking amp did more power at 2ohm current hog and had angled terminals

The Good: Smexy with those chrome endcaps, does more than rated power
The Bad: Worst terminals for power and ground I've seen to date. Reminds me of Knu's compression fittings. Won't accept anything more than standard 4ga wire (not even 0ga-4ga reducers)

Good- does over rated.. Stays cool at 1 ohm.. Fits 0 gauge .. All around nice amp
Bad- ugly as shitt ..weird imputs change sizes halfway in almost.. Weird

Rockford p1000.1bd
Good- does over rated..clean power.. Looks ****..stays cool
Bad- only complaint on this one is almost feels like cheap plastic and I hate the way the imputs are fitting 4 gauge is even a pain

my favorite series of amps of all time. does rated then some. hell i had the 1200 running at .5 for a year.
Power acoustik ps2-1600
pretty good amp for the money at the time, did around 900w. cons: big *** hell for 900w
audiopipe apsm-1300/1500
best amps for the money, does close to rated. cons: fans are loud, sq isnt great
swiss audio 1000w
shittiest amps ever made, bought in a group buy, 2 smoked on power up.
Ppi art 600.2
great sounding amp, beautiful case. cons: no xover, plugs ****, pricey now.
jbl gto 1201.1
great sounding amp, but not as strong as the older bp series. cons: imo terminals ****
legacy la series 1400w 2 ch
very distorted output and smoked after about 20 mins, it was free. dont buy one
