I need a little help with getting an amp-
I have 2 alpine type r's in a ported box (SWR-1222D) 2 ohm, dual coil subs. I need help picking out an amp, I have both the subs wired in series so they're 4 ohms. I've been looking at the MRP-M1000 but I'm not sure if it would sound good & hit hard if I ran them parrallel at 2 ohms to the amp. I'm new & just need some help with getting the perfect amp, & how to wire it good so it sounds perfect!
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
Your subs will either be wired at .5 or 2... 2 ohms is going to be your best option so what do you have to spend?
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
2 ohms. & I'm not really trying to spend over $350.
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
i can do a new american bass ph 4000 or 350 shipped
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
Isn't that way to much? Like I said I'm new to this. The mrp-1000 at 1000 watts at 2 ohms, with my 2 subs on it 1 channel with them both getting 500 watts wouldn't be good? They say 200-500 watts
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
too much is better...u never have too much
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
Yeah I guess I can agree with that. But wouldn't 500 at each be perfect? I'm not trying to shake my whole city haha, just trying to have them bump pretty loud & last me a while. :)
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
key work a while running am amp to limit is not good butter u have more power
Re: I need a little help with getting an amp-
Do you have anything you can suggest I run I 2 alpine type r's, 2 ohm dual coil, 200-500 watts on, that's less than $350.
