    Setting the Gain?

Hey guys. Sorry if this is a dumb question. When adjusting the gain using a DMM, can you measure the current at the amp? Most of the articles I've read suggested checking the current at the driver. Shouldn't it be the same at either location?
    Thanks

    Re: Setting the Gain?

You unhook the sub and hook straight to the amps speaker output set it to the correct ac voltage using a good test tone with all x-overs off and the eq set flat and then hook the sub back up.

You measure voltage out of the amp, not current.

Thanks for the correction. I was thinking it correctly. Just lost translation from my brain to my fingers.

nother stupid question, if I may: I read that the other channels may be disconnected ( channels not being tested ). Is this not harmful to the equipment to opperate without a load?
