I'm looking to buy one of these. Which one do you guys think would put out the most power? Cleanest? Most reliable? Is the powerbass over/under rated? Is the AQ underrated enough to get me close to 3000 watts at 1 ohm? I've got a 270 amp alt and two big treo ssx100b batteries... What do you guys think? For the record, the PB is about $125 more (they're both used). I want to push a crossfire xsv2 15 (rated at 2500rms)...

That pb looks beefier in the gut pics, but I doubt its worth another 125 compared to the aq. Plus the aq's seem to make a lot of people happy.Originally Posted by kowboy

LOL, the Powerbass is built like a tank and will outperform the AQ any day of the week down to a stupid low impedance. They do not make many like that anymore. And I own the AQ2200D, and I can say it is a good, reliable amp..... but it will not hang with the XA3kD.

Not tryna start a argument or nothing but didnt he say it was checked and had something wrong inside of it like a bad repair from prev owner or spmething like that? he told me something like that on facebook.

no he had it fixed 3 times ..and every one i see is either just been repaired or is blown ...ive seen way too many just in the past year..i wouldnt touch one with a 10 ft pole...

Well i mean even with those people having problems i wont just say its junk one of my friends had 2 xa3k's he had been running for a year and never had a problem out of them. But yea no amps the same for anyone. I would still try them but thats IMO tho

powerbass makes good stuff.. for the extra 125 1kw more is a good deal..
knowledge is powerful but imagination is exponentially powerful..
experience is key!! otherwise life is boring, uneventful and pointless..

You won't hear a very noticable differnce between 2200 and 3000 watts.. It may sound slightly different but it will not extremly noticable. In order to gain 3 dB you must atleast double your power. It will however show on the termlab.
