    who on here repairs Amps?

so i blew my HT amp about a month and a half ago. and today the cat tried to be a ninja and pulled the wires out of my sub box and shorted the sub section of my Klipsch Promedia amp ive been using. does anyone on here repair Plate amps? id prefer someone local(AKA central Florida) but i just need something better than my **** TV's stock speakers...

Ampmedics is in central FL. He does good work. FYI, guys who do good work will take a few weeks to get yours done.

Re: who on here repairs Amps?

hmm, well what normally blows on a shorted amp? and now looking at where the cat failed it looks like he may have bridged the wires down to a 1 ohm load...(i kno, BAD BOY for not wraping wires in electrical tape at least). i pulled the amp from the cabinet and can definatly smell it. andi think ive isolated what board the blown componant is on, but there is no black marks or anything. ill look for contact info for ampmedics. hopefully he can beef up the componants a bit and give me moar powah!! or maybe a 2 ohm stability/ 1 ohm stability(i kno im probobly being wishful here). the amp is a 2.1 amp, and the satelite speakers still work fine, so IDK what actually happened to it. but i have to get a quote so i can convince the misses to let me get it fixed.

    Matt
