Image dynamics amps

Has anyone ever run one?
I hardly ever hear anything about them...
Curious about the Q1200.1 in particular.

The only thing I heard on a forum is that ID designers were obsessed with Class A/B design, even for substage. I can imagine, give the reputation Eric Stevens era of ID products that these are good amplifiers. Price is $700 on amazon.com. Do local shops sell these cheaper? I don't see the value here given that you can have an amplifier with 1000watts RMS power for $300. The price might have been palatable to some people if the amplifier was underrated by a factor of at least 2.

I dont run a ID mono but me and @Simba33 ; both run ID for our highs and they are fantastic.

Just the basics, how was the sound quality? Did it hold up? Were you impressed? Would you buy again/recommend?

i ran it on 2 IDQ12v3d4 in a 2 cubic foot box. had gain 1/4 maybe less. sub level on deck was at -10 usually. had it wired to 1 ohm and i loved the sound. anyone that listened to loved it.. and i still had enough head room to bass up if i had to. i've had it thermal on me once. when i first got it and we were having a HOT summer. it was like 110 outside and my friend ran it nonstop for like 8 hours straight almost full tilt on my vol knob. shut the system down let it cool off and kicked back on with np. i've never had it thermal on me i'm smarter then him lol.

would i buy again? not sure about it since the "takeover". i've seen and heard alot of things that basically made ID go down hill. CS and dependability isn't the same. know i know a few ppl out there selling there's that was purchased before the buyout and have ben modded. one of those yes i'd jump on and recommend. matter of fact there's one guy on diyma sellng one that's been modded for less then 300.00

Dam... I just bought some JL slashes... but I was looking at the ID page and looked at the amps. I appreciate you taking the time to give me the lay of the land on ID. I enjoy the ID subs I have, and I am upgrading to IDmax's. Maybe I'll look out for some old school ID amps if they turn up later on.
