Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
im no expert with bench testing, i used that amp for a year at 2ohms and my voltage was dropping to 12. i upgraded to a DD M1c and ran it at 1ohm and never went below 13v on the same electrical. ap at 2ohms=about 750w or less at 12v. DD M1c at 1ohm=about 1400w at 13v.
$150 is a good price but it would cost alot in electrical upgrades to stay around 14v at 1ohm.
Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
2 pages long and a handful of people are already complaining wrong amp, blah blah blah. People just need to face the fact that AP sucks and you get what you pay for.
Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
Ap still does the best power for the money /thread
Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
yes, but can they even be run at 1ohm on average stock electrical?

I have an APSM1500 on the way from another member here...we'll see if it performs any better, I'll reserve my judgement until I've had a chance to test it.
Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
the new apk's are amazing amps, korean made and some of the best big power/money amps out their. Not a fan of the ap and aspm amps but i have seen the aspm's do rated. reliability is usually the argument factor for the aspm's.

you see. that is not fair..you are getting one to test that has been proven to work. By ordering a new one, you get to play the Russian Roulette type odds of getting one that doesn't...see, you are missing out on half the fun.

one thing i have to say about audiopipe is that they will swap out amps in a heartbeat without question because they do business in such high volume, would I buy an ap no, their are a couple other amps a few bucks more new that i would get if i was on budget.
but if i was in the market for a big boy the apk2500, apk 3500, apk4500, and apk5500 are amazing amps on quality with american bass amps, built same place. I have seen the apk5500 and if it was not for the name these would be killing the online market

To get quality you have to pay. The price compared to there American bass counterpart is cheaper. The problem is there name has become synonymous withwith cheap. But these apks ate no where cheap.
Re: Audiopipe AP-15001D Bench Tested for RMS Power Output
regardless they still cant be beat for the price

From video:
"The waveform looks clipped, but the DD-1 shows no distortion. So I am gonna go with the DD-1."
Can't believe how many people trust that dumbass dector. You can see the clipping with your oscope, but it MUST be in error b.c the DD-1 says the signal is fine...
Not to hate if the OP is the same guy who made the video...
Vid is nicely done otherwise.

Yes, OP is the one who made the video (me). I was simply saying the resolution on the o'scope's screen is low and difficult to get an exact clipping measurement. The DD-1 measures THD at 1% and despite what people think, it IS accurate. I've seen one tested with a multi-thousand dollar THD analyzer and the 1% figure is extremely accurate.
No worries, I didn't take the comment personally. I appreciate all feedback.
