My SK-1500.1 recently failed due to vibration damage from being put on the box. The *ONLY* other place i can mount the amp is on the carpet of the trunk or in the hood somewhere. Is there a problem with mounting an amp to a carpeted surface?

mount it on the carpet wont hurt anything or cut a piece of wood to screw it to
