Wiring up Amp 1 vs 2 ohms?
Im getting ready to wire up my amp and i was wondering if there is any reason to wire it at 1 or 2 ohms. The amp is a Digital Designs S2 and the subs are SA12 D2s. The amp does 1100 X2 @1Ohm OR 2200 x1 @ 2Ohms. My electrical is solid 300amp alt all 0gauge stinger hpm and 3 redtops. one under the hood and 2 in the back. Thanks for any input im just not sure which is better.
Re: Wiring up Amp 1 vs 2 ohms?
You can't wire to 1 ohm. Your choices are .5 ohm or 2 ohm. With 2 Dual 2 ohm subs these are choices.
Re: Wiring up Amp 1 vs 2 ohms?
Let me word this differently. Since its a 2 channel amp i could either run 1 sub to each channel at 1 ohm or wire both subs to the amp at 2 ohms.

that would equate to the exact same thing each sub getting 1100w bridged or not and on that note i would bridge them for simplicity
