    smoking everything on it alpine mrv f353

    every speaker i have tried on this amp is getting smoked...
    jvc head unit with 4.8 volt outs

    anybody have a guess what this actually might be putting out?

    i looked at the manual already, but at that time 2 volts was a head units max.

    You are setting something up wrong. Smoking a speaker is pretty extreme

    Your gains are set incorrectly, im willing to bet ure clipping all your speakers to death

    what are your settings at, and have you tried any other amps in it's place? It may be a bad amplifier.



    I am protesting Skar by giving them added exposure in my signature.

    gain set at 1/4 turn
    got amps cross over cutting everything below 70 hz out, not using sub woofer channel.

    a 200 dollar sound stream component set just last week 130 watts rms.
    am i possibly over driving this amp?

    found it, mosfets are leaking, massive power surging. time to spend some money for a good amp.
