yes, but put a short speaker wire going from the + of one voice coil to the - on the other instead of just hitching the wires you already have coming out of them together. Then run a speaker wire from the other neg and pos terminal on each of the voice coils to the amp.

I'm not home so I don't have to tools to pull out and the and give it a short speaker wire yet. Can I do it with the longer ones until I get home in a week or two? Like what will it hurt?

no it wont hurt it, you can use a 5ft wire connecting the 2 if you want...but a short one just going from the + to - is better

And a special bit, a star shaped one because the MDF screws I put in it had a weird *** head to it.

They're called Torx. Just letting you know for when you eventually want to get your own set of bits.

These companies want u to fight over who is the best. When honestly there is probably 2 or 3 huge companies that make every single amp on the planet. Wake up people.u don't no who owns this stuff and u don't know who owns these build houses.

Re: Audiopipe APSM-1500 Protection for a few seconds?

Welp, it runs much better now. Sounds good, gain only cranked at about 25% tho.

BUT GUESS WHAT?!? I GOT ANOTHER PROBLEM! I can't believe it, can you? -_-

I took it for a spin and I thought I heard it cut out. So I went to the very back on the parking lot of walmart, and played it where it was, and the same song. It performed great, hit hard never went into protect. I even played a hard hitting song and it did fine, so I thought I was just being paranoid and freaking myself out.

Welp, I went home and it cuts out again, Imagine that. I guess that means it's a voltage problem. It only cuts out when I'm getting up to speed. Maybe because my car is pulling more volts for the engine to get up to speed, and it's too much of a voltage drop for the amp.

Never fails, I can't just go on and have a (what I seem to think) awesome system.

Probably just a loose connection, lol. Go over everything with a fine tooth comb.

Edit: Also, Your alternator will be making MORE amperage while you are driving, than when you are at idle. Not less.

How would it be a connection if it runs just as good at idle? Wouldn't the connect stay the same?

I had to A/C on and headlights when at idle.. it's weird how when going up to speed it protects.

...because when your driving, things are moving around. If there is a loose fuse, or terminal connection, or whatever, it could be coming in and out of contact with whatever it's supposed to be tightened to.
