Icon8 blown amp but not blown fuse?... power out of every terminal from amp, amp not on!

so bought new subs and a new amp. hifonics 3000d amp was pushing these 2000 watt subs pretty good . they are wired down to 1 ohm and my amp is a 1 ohm stable. over the last 2 days of my amps life it seemed like my bass was kinda dwindling down and not hitting as hard. i get in my car and turn my hu on subs and music start playing but was only loud to the point that i could talk normal and you would still be able to hesar me fine. then subs shut off so i turned off hu turned back on and nothing.. open the trunk check the fuse. not blown checked the battery connection and all connections and everything is fine. so i head to the local car audio store grabbed a pair of their volt testers. check the marine batt post. got power. chec the fuse got power check the power terminal to the amp got power. i went to check it again and accidentally hit the ground terminal. and i got power... seemed kinda weird to me since the amp was NOT on.. power and protect leds were not lit up. put the connector tip onto the remote terminsal of amp. and bam power is coming out of that also and power is coming out of the speaker terminals from the amp also. all this power is coming out of the amp and wevery terminal possible. rcas also. fuse not blown and amp isnt even on.. how could that happen? im running 2 ab xfl dual 4 ohm subs. 2 possible things i can think of is the car audio guy wired these subs down lower than 1 ohm if thats even possible and blew my amp or maybe the amp was just a faulty amp. anyone ever have this issue?? or anyone tell me why this could have happened?

Unplug the subs from the amp check the wire and see what they read it should be close to 1ohm if its way off you have sub issues. Did you see if one was locked up by just trying to push it in.

Re: blown amp but not blown fuse?... power out of every terminal from amp, amp not on

you mean unplug the speaker wire out of the connectoer from my sub box then check the ohm load? or you mean unplug the speaker wires from my amp? if i unplugged the speaker wires from my amp how would i check to see if there was any amperage or do the subs hold a certain amount of power even if they are unplugged?.. i pushed the subs in they move ni and out but are still quite stiff i dont even think they are totally broken in yet.

Well jist unplug the wires man from the box put a multi meter on the terminals make sure they read correct ohm loads you may be a victim of cheap power.

wow. i feel like a moron! i popped the trunk lifted up the trunk floor where my battery is and. and tjhose black rubber condoms that go over the connectors that you clamp down on the ground and power wires . well the groun wire was pulled out of the clamp and that black rubber condom was making it look like the ground was still attached. pried it open placed the ground back into the clamp and smashed the hell outa it with avise and hooked it back up and wallah! sounds. aha scratch this post. but thank for giving me some clues tho
