    Icon32 Legacy/Pyramid Amps

    Ive seen those Pyramid and Legacy amps are they good or just a ripoff amp that will work for a liittle then blow ? Whats the deal cuz theyre so cheap?

    It's not that they are terrible amps, just they don't put out nearly as much as they are rated for (1000w ~ 100w); they are grossly overrated.

    yup....always take off a zero from the rated power to get ur true power when dealing with those amps

    You pretty much get the power you pay for - not much else. I personally think they're pretty durable amps for the most part. I've probably used 3 or 4 different pyramid/legacy amps over the years and never had one fail on me. Currently I have a 4 ch pyramid running the system in my boat that's about 12 years old and still working perfectly.

    They have their place.
