    should the bass knob be all the way up or down when setting the amp?

    searched but didnt find much. also called around to audio shops and got mixxed answers. thanx
    p.s. i know the gain is supposed to be down and h/u up just never tuned an amp w/ bass knob b4.

    If you're referring to the "gain knob", keep it unplugged from the amp while setting gains. Then plug it in.

    i leave mine plugged in and at 3/4 up when i did mine

    i dont turn mine past 3/4. so i keep it at max i would play it with, or compete with for that matter. its worked out for me so far

    turn the knob to the highest setting you would use, then go back and readjust your gain on the amp.

    i am referring to the gain knob i guess. here is the amp i have...
    Rockford Fosgate Power bd1000.1 500W Mono Subwoofer Amplifier at Crutchfield.com
    would the knob on this be gain control or bass boost? thanx in advance for all the help
