Can someone plz give any reasons why an amplifier wouldn't throw out the output it's rated @. What i mean is why would a 1000rms amp sound like a 150rms amp even when volume is set at the highest level. Assume that subwoofers are wired correctly. FYI its a mono amp. thanks in advance.

Which amp? specs? Hell it might be a 150 watt amp.. By volume are you refering to gain or HU volume?

kenwood kac 9105d.....the gain is set @ 1....and even if i dial it up to say .5 the change in bass is barely noticable, .....if i turn it up the volume from the HU of course it gets louder, but the bass i shallow as s H i t definately no way near rms rating. FYI subs wired @ 1ohm.

A little more info would help ie ohm load amp model. Is the gain set. Fyi amplifiet manufacterers arent all the same as they rate epuipment differently boss may rate an amp 1000 watts and call it a mono block amp said amp may be 300 true rms while 1000 watt kicker or fosgate mono block amp will probably run slightly higher than the 1000 watt rating due to being held to a higher standard.kinda like a ul rating for an appliance.
