    Clarion DPX1001.2 questions

I'm going to purchase a Kicker Solobaric 10". I am looking at two amplifiers, the Apline MRP M350 or the Clarion DPX 1001.2. The Alpine is the running due to its small size and decent wattage. The Clarion does have more power, its quite a bit larger, but the price is right. My concern with the Clarion is that it is refurbished by Clarion. Does anyone know anything about this? Is there a problem with them?

Any opinions on the two amps? I'm not looking to lift the roof, just some more bass than what I've got. The rest of the system is going to be Clarion Pro Audio 4x6 plates in the dash running off Apline 9815 deck power, 6.5" two ways in the doors (not sure what make there yet) running off a PPI 2260 and then the Kicker Solo 10".

OK I just signed up for the forum, but just had to reply to this post :P

The MRP-M350 is a COOL amp!

I had a 5128 Comp X sub running off of it, and it was giving the sub more than it could handle, had to turn the amp down to just above 1/2 gain!

    Model 5128
    12 inch dual voice coil
400 watts RMS (Peak Power 1100 watts)
    Recommended Enclosure:
    SPL applications: 0.44 cu. ft.
    SQ applications 0.62 cu. ft.
    Price: $ 269.95 Each
