    Amp Install To Battery Pics?

    any body have pics of how they wired up there amps to their batteries?

    i think he wanted to see the placement of the fuse, how the wire was attached to the battery and stuff like that..

    no the fuse needs to be 6 inches from the body.

    negative on amp???

    isn't that really just ground and is not connected to the battery?

    I'd like to see pictures also from battery->wire->fuse->wire

    yeah...power wire goes from + on batt....to a fuse w/in 18inches then to the pos on the amp. The neg. on the amp gets connected to the chassis of the car...ar good metal spot w/ paint carved away. RCA's from the HU to the amp...remote from blue wire on back of HU to amp. Then wire up the subs to corrct ohm load. good luck, peace

    just get a dual post battery and a battery clamp and hook it into whatever gauge wire ur using with a fuse not to far away,least thats what i did and i think its awesome

    Oh ok; So in theory you can have the wire going all the way from the amp to the negative terminal, but connecting it somewhere closer on the chassis is easier?

    I got a question then: how come you don't get shocked when say you're on the outside of the car and you touch the car? Aren't you (your body) short-circuiting so that current passes through your body, to your feet, and into the ground (if you weren't standing on some thick insulator)?

    Yeah, I'd still like to see a picture. The only experience I have in how the stuff is done, is hearing the end-result. In other words, I've only heard what systems can do - never seen how they are wired no matter how much reading I've done.
