Anything better than JL 300/4 for the price?

I am about to get an amp for my 4channels, and am trying to future proof myself. I have heard the jl, and was really impressed with the sound quality. I was listening to some mb quarts and dynaudio's on this amp. Right now, this is the amp I would buy but i haven't listened to many others yet. In the near future, I will probably be pairing this amp up with 2 sets of CDT's components.

Before I make the plunge, does anyone suggest another amp besides the jl audio 300/4. I would want at least the same amount of power and sound quality. If you make a suggestion, please write a reason why you choose that amp over the jl.

Give us a price range and we could provide w/ some great alternatives to JL.

Same price range as the jl audio, though I'm not opposed to cheaper That is the top of my price range though.

Both the Pg ti and PPI PCX lines are being discontinued so the prices on them right now a ridiculously low. Personally, I would take either of these amps over the JL anyday. If you can pay a little more for the PG ti ($450) get it.

I had been thinking about the PPI. I have never heard one, but thought the specs looked really good. Doesn't hurt that it is a cool looking amp as well. Why do people keep saying that its not a reliable amp thoug? That is my biggest concern with the PPI
