    kicker vs mtx

I need an amp to push 2 ed10k.44 subs in a small box and was thinking of the kx1200.1 or the 81000d, which one is better? Please give me all the reasons why or recommend an amp worth the $ around $400 or less.

i believe someone said they have the heatsink on the bottom of the amp where it would meet the carpet of a box or your trunk so the heat doesnt disapate away the way it should. but thats just what i heard so...

    Re: kicker vs mtx

I have the Kicker SX series amp and I like it. Looks cool, sounds good and clean to me and It doesnt overheat and its crammed in tight. Its hooked up to 2 10's so it fits under my seat and I dont have to lose passanger room. I also see they redesigned the KX series to. I don't know I guess I like mine.

Denim is right. I hate to say it but there is no better amp. It depends on the setup your putting together. One amp may be perfect for me whereas the same amp might not work in your setup. It just really depends on the goal and components being used.

    Re: kicker vs mtx

I mean if you want read up on the companies and learn more about them, I personally dont like where kicker is going right now, but they still make a good product, and MTX is bent on makeing a good solid amp for a decent price, but both amps were rampant in the competition sceen
