Hooking up amp inside home

Since my amp and speakers are the only things that're gonna be here (waiting for sub+box+kick panels), I wanna try hooking my usx4065 amp and cdt-61s inside my crib. Could I just use a normal 12v battery? What do I do about ground and the negative lead on the battery? If it's too complicated I'ma just say skip it since I just wanna do it for fun to see how the speakers sound.

Find a friend that has a system try it that way or why not hook up the amp now and see if it powers up? who knows you run your speakers with them but.... If you do decide to put it in your house get a AC - DC converter even thought that is another 100 bucks or so... doubt you wanna hear it that badly.

I just wanted to wait 'til everything was here before I installed anything - cause I'd rather get it all installed in one take with some tweaking here and there

yeah I guess I'll just wait 'cause I really don't want the amp to be just sitting there not being used and all

I used a batery charger to test all my stuff ... I had a 14.v constant charger (my dad got it from an old job) But it powered 2 amps and 2 12's for about 6 months b4 it took a crap ...but it was really old!
