    Amps on EBAY

Hey there people, I was wondering to those who have had experiences with Ebay if you guys have ever had any problems with the products you purchased. For example was anything DOA of messed up. The reason being is that I was looking for amps and I've come across some great deals but am not sure to wether or not to trust my money to the seller. So thanks for the replies in advance!

    Re: Amps on EBAY

I have purchased every piece of car audio equipment I have ever owned from ebay and never had one problem. My ebay buying rules are:
1.) Always buy brand new in the box. (watch out for refurbs)
2.) Buy from a seller who has hundreds or thousands of feedback replies (if this person was going to screw people, he would have done it buy now)
3.) Use paypal and read up on the paypal website about their buyer protection program. There will be a little icon underneath the seller's name on the ebay page and it will say purchase protection. If it says that, then paypal will cover your item up to $500.00 if it never arrives or if it arrives not the way it was advertised. (I just bought an amp from a guy with no feedback, but he was a member of paypal and part of the paypal buyer protection program, so I wasn't concerned. If he screwed me, I knew I would get my money back. In the end, he sent the amp just fine and I ended up with a brand new Crossfire VR1000D for $289 shipped!)

Overall, I love ebay and have been shopping their for years. As a result I consider myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to being safe enjoying the great prices that ebay offers. The only downside is, some sellers don't offer warranties and I don't think any company in the world warranties products sold on ebay.

    Re: Amps on EBAY

i wouldn't so much question ebay - but the people that are selling.. look at their ratings, if you have questions see if you can contact the user to confirm things.

Check feed back. If there are recent negative feedback listings read them and see why. I usually won't bid on anyone with less than a 95% rating, but it depends. I have had great experience on ebay.

    Re: Amps on EBAY

Ive used ebay a few times for car parts, bout a month ago paid 50 bucs for a crossmember never came. Had to use the paypal complaint process to end up getting the **** guy to send me an email. Guy ended up sending the crossmember a month later. Like others said look at the feedback and use paypal.

Paypal is the key, if you pay with paypal (which is a free service for buyers) and something happens your protected.
