Not best value as bang for the buck, but the customer service on both seems to be great. Thats what you are paying for.

What do you mean by come alive? Will it still do over it's rated at 12v?

Re: Sundown 3500 or IA 40.1

i run 2 40.1s on 12volt set up & i love them. i run them at .3 ohms before imp rise. the amps are awesome at 12v. they will do way more than rated power.
nick is a great guy & has outstanding customer service.
i have never personally delt with jacob at sundown but he also has an impeckable reputation for customer service. can't go wrong with either but, my chioce is 40.1

(you know the new 40.1 has not been released yet)

How many watts are you getting, how many batteries, and what kind of current do they draw?

Re: Sundown 3500 or IA 40.1

40.1 FTW, i run one of them and i can run it on .25ohm on music, and puts out a nasty amount of power, but i would recomend running them at .5 ohm, they scream. They have a very strong protection system too. Runs very cold until .5 ohm but won't ever get hot, just warm.
