How Do I know how to set my amp to match my preamp.

How can I tell the what to set the amp on to match it. Isn't the setting screw labbled like from 0.3v to 6.0v?

I've thought about this also but never found it in the manual etc

so my next guess would be like this

say ur amp handles can handle 10v and there are 5 bars
let each bar = 2 volts?

and count em and the lowest gain setting would be 10v? then 8 6 4 2 0? for 5 bars?

I dont know but this is what i've thought of
