    amp "problem"

Hey, I'm just wondering what are some reasons for your amp NOT working? Let me explain, I was bumping and stuff (with my new amp i JUST got today) and all of a sudden the bass stopped. I got nervous, pulled over and looked at my wiring. Everything seemed fine, power light was on, wires all connected. I jiggled the rca's and speaker wires (the ones going into the amp) and then it started playing again. OK, so I'm riding and it goes out again. This time i checked ALL wiring (including sub wiring) and nothing worked. I put in my OTHER amp and it does the SAME thing. Lights come on, NO bass. Im thinkin my RCAs are bad, cuz i bought some new speaker wire and its still not working. I should mention that the amp in question is my NEW rockford 300s i JUST got in. (finally) oh and its the last years model as well. Anything else I should check? cuz i was bumpin fine until....it all went down, lol

but once again, check to make sure that nothing can be moving around and blocking your ground wire from flowing. paint, other things...

    Re: amp "problem"

so you checked all of the head unit connections? it sounds like it could be the RCAs or a head unit defect...
