1200.1 The SUB killer

Okay my JBL 1200.1 has killed yeat another sub woofer.

After going through

Two 12L74's, Two 15 w3's(at the same time) and now the latest victum a modded 15 RE SE, It has officially been dubbed the sub killer. I was running the amp into a 1 ohm load and feed the SE it's last breath of air. Although only one coil went on the sub so it may live to see another day.

Whats am I going to do with this amp, it has never clipped on me and continually destroys every sub I get. What should I do I love the power what sub could handle it especially the way I drive my subs???!!!

SoloX will handle it, just about any sub with a 1200 watt rms+ rating will handle it. Just get yourself a crossover with a subsonic filter.

maybe an xxx can handle it. u sure ur box might not of been the problem?

Are/were you using a subsonic filter if you were using a ported box? Volume/gain master also comes to mind. 1200.1's do funny things sometimes.

I agree with denim's suggestions ... also wanted to tack on the aforementioned XXX.

fuse your next sub between the amp and the sub..... so if it sends to much wattage to the sub the fuse will blow...not the sub

I run my JBL 1200 to my SE's..the handle it prefectly fine.. i bet u had ur gain cranked up or were u using that **** Bass boost....that bass booost is a sub killer for ya
