    Hifonics bx1500d and my two type r subs

    Ok guys i was running my type rs in parallel before running them at 1.1ohms with my boss rev 2000d. I tried it with my bx1500d and the amp didnt like it kept going into protect mode. Maybe the wires where touching or whatever. Anyways since it has two speaker outs on it even tho its a mono block amp. I just wired one to each sub. Now here is the part i need help with its quite a bit louder than before yet i think it could get better.

    My subs have dual 4 ohm voice coils. and when the two subs where wired in parallel it was 1.1ohms . So can a math genious out there tell me if the dude who set up my subs wired the voice coils on each sub in parallel or series. Cause i want to know what im running my subs at how many ohms. Can one of you guys figure it out for me.

    Confusing wording in your post but this should answer your question;

    ya my alternator doesnt put out enough power. So lets say if im pounding a bass song and hit my breaks my battery goes from puttin oujt 12.4 volts to 10 volts. Than the amp says it must have a mandatory of 11 volts or it shuts off.

    Your NOT supposed to use all 4 inputs. Your supposed to bridge it and run 1 + and 1 - to the amp.

    That will solve your problem

    Bridge it, otherwise you're running in stereo.

    Is this not a reasonable place to park?

    really and thats bad?? Just help me understnad here cause im throwin those type rs a lot of power as . I hear that amp puts out 1600 rms at 1 ohm. with those dual 4 ohm voice coils wired in parallel. Im runnin each sub at 2 ohms. which i figure is makin the amp put out a lot more watts.

    Also i tried bridging it as in connecting the + at one ouput with the negative to the second output. The amp didnt like that i dont think my alternator put out enough power or whatever. Or my subs voice coils where pinching.

    well yeah but what these guys are sayin is that your in stereo mode wich means your not using the amp to its potential, so if you re-wire and only have one + and one - then hook em on the seperate sides youll have the amp bridged and get more output..

    Ya but since my amp can put out 1600 rms. And my subs can handle a total of 900 rms TOPS. Like alpine rates them at 300 rms. Yet with my ported box i know they can handle like 900rms. I think stereo will work fine lol.
