    Audioque 2200D vs. Kicker 08ZX2500.1

I will be powering 2 subs which will be around 1000 watts RMS each. Either Fi BL's, kickers, or just some alpines. I really like the audioque but i havent heard much about it and whether it lives up to its specs. The kicker is much more expensive but i know its a good amp. i was also looking at a Lanzar MXA252 but dont really know about it. Can I hook a mono amp up to 2 subs? -Thanks

Go with the zx. It makes more power, is probably more efficient and is a solid amp. If you get BL's they are going to want more than 1000 watts.

AQ would do the job and is a solid amp. Installed a 1200D recently as was impressed by the build/performance of the amp.

And yes you can hook up a mono amp to two subs.

EDIT : and I'd stay away from Lanzar amps (except the OPTI's). Plus, that one doesn't really compare to either the ZX2500 or the AQ2200D.

i've heard that the kicker's usually benchmark at around 2900 watts usually so i'd go with the zx2500

I think Kicker lies on it's birthsheets

Not that they can't put out that much power, they can and sometimes more. But from what I've seen all the ZX2500 birthsheets I've seen online repeat numbers pretty often. Like, from 6 different BS's 3 will have the same number and 2 will have the same. etc.

    Dunno, just what me thinks.

They still are amazing amps, and I was actually going to get one but then I got my MT in D2 so I needed 1Ω

    x2

f you're putting the BL's in a good sized ported box, you won't need a whole lot of power to get them loud. But then again, it's always nice to have a little headroom...
