Urgent: Feedback on Hifonics Brutus BX1000D

Is this a good amp? I'm thinking of purchasing one here:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18797

I need something to power my brahma. Will it do a reported 1000W @ 1-ohm? Anyone with first-hand or second-hand experience, feedback is much appreciated. Or if you have even heard anything, rumors are accepted. I think the selling stops in about 19 hrs., so I need some feedback-ski. Thanks y'all.

Dude if you want to power a brahama, its 1600watts rms right? So spend the extra $20 and get the Brutus BX1500D you can find them on ebay for around $300. Also they only take 20 amps more(80 amp fuse) than the Brutus BX1000D. That is whhat I would do. It is a good amp too.

    Alpine CDA-9813
    Infinity Kappa 60.5s Component Speakers
    U.S. Acoutics 2080x for the comps (80x2 @ 4 ohms)
    1 ed e12O.44 in a 2ft.^3 sealed box.
    Soundstream RUB500-1 for the sub (400x1 @ 2 ohms)

Depending on application, a Brahma doesn't need even close to 1600 to reach full potential

Exactly. But it won't strain my alternator a great deal? Because I just have a stock one in my explorer and I don't want my lights to dim.

TheZeb.com has the older Hi Fonics stuff, before they were sold off to Maxxsonics which makes Crunch too. The Gen XI Series Zeus which is HIGHLY Underrated at 1200x1 for 349.99 Shipped. That amp lists for like 1200+. I would go with that amp before any of the newer Hi Fonics stuff.
