    Amp Recommendation please!

    I have an Infinity Series 1220 W Subwoofer. Here are the specs:

    Power Handling, RMS: 300W
    Power Handling, Peak: 1200W
    Frequency Response (±3dB): 22Hz - 800Hz
    Sensitivity: 92dB
    Mounting Depth: 6-1/8"
    Impedance: 4 Ohms

    here's a website for more info
    http://www.infinitysystems.com/carau...er=REF&Cat=SUB

    I read alot of reviews about this Sub in other places, and the most I've read about was the 760 Sony XPlod Amp... It seems like a good choice, but I think that I could probably get a better Amp to pus the sub a bit farther without blowing it. I will be getting a car soon (FINALLY) so I am starting to look for an amp now! Any recommendation appreciated. Just got into car audio equipments recently! Thanks

    i would second that jbl 300.1 but there are many more amps that you can get and you didnt say how much you are looking to spend but you can get the kicker 400.1 it will push it a lil harder

    I would go with that too but i have heard that they don´´t like when you send more than the rated rms so make a sligthy smaller box IMO...

    would it push the sub to 1200 watt max on a "thump"? Also, the Sub is 4 ohms... the amp can hit 300 at 2 ohms... 150 at 4... is it 2 channels? if so, it should be able to get bridged to 300 with one sub rms at 4 ohms... I think...

    Thanks

    Ok, first off, dont even worry about the peak handling. That doesnt mean anything, and you wont ever need it unless the RMS isn't listed. If the sub has a 1200 watt max, the RMS should be 600.. because its supposed to be half of the max. Oh well. The JBL 300 would do great.

    IMO = In My Opinion

    Anything for someone on a budget? I will have a job this summer and can always upgrade, but for now I might only be able to spend up to $125 or something like that. Thanks
