No, it's just the updated KX line.
The KX and ZX amps are very similar. I'd opt for the KX for the money.
Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500

Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500
both should be pretty good amps
Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500
They're supposed to have the same board. However, I've heard that a few components are different.
Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500
i loved my old kx's. then again, i love my new zx's.
(not running the 2500.1's tho, was running a kx1200.1 and now a zx1500.1)

correct. few things are newer and better. simply means the zx's are SLIGHTLY more under rated than the kx's..........but when it all comes downt ot he nitty gritty they are pretty muchthe same, and if you are on a budget get the kx's. they're basically the same with minimal real world application differances.
Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500
cool cool so in the end they are both quality amps right?>

Re: kICKER KX2500 AND ZX2500
From the few models I have looked at, the KX has a 12 db low-pass xover, the ZX has a 24db xover.
The higher order 24db xover may help with the illusion that your bass is actually coming from the front of the car/ the comps, even though the subs are in the rear.
If you have 18 or 24db xovers on your head unit or processor, or run rear mids and highs, this is a non-issue, save your money and buy the KX.
