Lanzar 1200D vs. Lanzar 1500D

Ok what should I buy
the Lanzar 1200D or the Lanzar 1500D
I will be wiring 4 comp vr's, dual 2 ohm 400 watt rms to them

also how are the boards comparible

I'm fairly sure the 1200D and the 1500D are the same amp internally, but the 1500D is pathetic to look at with all its chrome and glass. However, if you can get it for a lot less than the 1200D and what it sounds like is more important that what it looks like - I'd get the 1500. I saw one on ebay for $160 new (I think).
