Why Not ****** Amps for 6X8's

I have been reviewing some of the comments in regard to Legacy Amps and the consensus is that their junk. Well, I just purchased a 4-channel Legacy Amp to use for my 6x8's in the doors and rear deck. I am using a Rockford 200s for my 2 12" MTX THunderForms. I bought this amp because it was inexpensive and reasonable for the application I am going to be using it for. Ofcourse I wouldn't use a Legacy for high power but for 6x8's (45W RMS), it should be fine. Would you agree?

By the way, I had my last three amps stolen from my car while it was at the collision shop for repairs. This marks the second time someone stole audio equipment from a car I own. I refuse to purchase anymore high end stuff.

So you've given up on having nice things and are buying things that can be stolen ? If you want something that can be stolen, legacy is a good choice. You can put the saved money towards an alarm mechanism of some sort.

the legacy is ok for the 6x8's ,why dont you get an alarm or something before you put audio equipment in your car especially expensive stuff.

Thanks for your smarta$$ comments!!! Both cars had alarms on them, in case you didn't know, alarms can be bypassed!!!!

If you were at the collision shop maybe somebody that was repairing your car if its the type Im thinking of stole the amp and didnt have to bypass the alarm. Legacy was my very first amp and I pushed my pioneer 6x9's with a 300watt legacy. 300watts was a far off cry from the actual and it probly only put out 60watts bridged. That's on a good day. What type of legacy did you get. Maybe you should get an Alpine alarm that way you can just roll down the windows and if somebody reaches in the alarm goes off. OR you can adjust the sensitivity on the alarm so that a strong wind will set it off and no one will come near it. I have to question you on this one Im not even sure if I believe you have an alarm. Even if you do you probly HAVE one of those BIG AZZ Stickers advertising your system just asking for somebody to steal it. Either that or you have really bad luck.

I bought a Legacay LA160 for four 6x8's. In regard to the collision shop, I know it was an inside job. My car was rear ended which as a result pushed my trunk in so bad I couldn't take anything out prior to it being towed to the collision shop. In any event, after going back and forth with the owner, he compensated me for my loss. My other car, 89 chevy caprice, was broken into in front of my house, a quick, smash the passenger window and grab. Those losers even took my HVAC controls. Whether you guys believe I had a alarm or not, means nothing to me. Here in Detroit, there are guys who can bypass anything in a matter of seconds. Someone I know had they're entire car lifted on a flatbed and taken away. S***, his caprice was candy painted, sittin on 20's, high end audio, and alarmed up. They took his car in broad day light. The Neighbors, could give a s***, as long as they don't bother them. Anyways, I only wanted to know if the Legacy would function enough to power my 6x8's better than the factory unit can. Don't respond if all you have is criticism!!!!!!

Hey well if your neighborhood is as bad as you say. Why don't you buy the biggest pos no alarm no radio or anything save your MONEY and MOVE OUTTA DA HOOD. Just an idea. Man that ***** to live in that part of town.
